(1st verse)
They diAdn't own a hC#mouse No cDrib, no toys were waEiting
SDtill, they had their lAove for the cBmhild they were antEicipating
He was bAorn one winter nC#might on a rDoad between two tC#mowns
They wrDapped Him up so wAarm and tight and said, "It lBmooks like heEaven's come
dAown."
There was a nDew star shEining in the sAky up aDbove
By His lBmight that winter nF#might they found peace and perfect love
If we wDant to fEind it, I F#mknow we always wBill
'Cause that nDew starC#m is shBmining fEor us stAill.
(2nd verse)
They worried how to feed Him. Simple trade was all they knew
It was hard enough to make ends meet when they were only two
But the cold, the dark, and hunger, couldn't take away their joy
And they knew that they would find a way for that precious baby boy
chorus
There was a new star shining in the sky up above
By His light that winter night they found peace and perfect love
If we want to find it, I know we always will
'Cause that new star is shining for us still
If we want to find it, I know we always will
'Cause that new star is shining for us still
This song was obviously released for Christmas. But Mr Skaggs also released
it on an album quite some time ago. I had this album at one time. But
since lost track of it. Hope you enjoy it. I still do.
