I remGember when rock was young,
me and SBmusie had so much fun,
Holding hCands and skimmin' stones,
had a oDld gold Chevy & a place of my own.
But the bGiggest kick I ever got,
was doin' a thBming called the Crocodile Rock.
While the oCther kids were rockin' 'round the clock,
we were hDoppin' and boppin' to the Crocodile Rock, well.
Em Crocodile Rockin' is something shockin',
when your fA7eet just can't keep still.
D7 I never knew me a better time and I Gguess I never will.
E Oh, Lawdy mamma, those Friday nights
when SA7usie wore her dresses tight and
D7 the Crocodile Rockin' was out of sCight G Em C D
But the yGears went by and rock just died,
Susie wBment & left me for some foreign guy,
lCong nights cryin' by the record machine ,
drDeamin' of my Chevy & my old blue jeans .
But they'll nGever kill the thrills we've got,
burnin' Bmup to the Crocodile Rock,
learning fCast till the weeks went past,
we really thDought the Crocodile Rock would last, well.
